WELCOME TO Carl’s Photo Trek

This is intended as a personal blog, subjects may change, or even disappear. I have started this so many times I thought I would name it Iterations but even that changed.

I find the process of photography fascinating, I cannot separate the photographer and his or her story from the image. Knowing how an image is captured and printed or whether a plugin or graded paper was used, leaves me feeling a little empty.

For every image there is a story that is told

For every image there is a story that is told, sometimes it’s just an emotion we feel when we see an image. I was always told when photographing people, that the camera looks both ways, that the photographers emotions, personality, facial expressions and more are reflected back to the camera from the subject. I believe that this is also the case in nature and landscape photography, even street photography, our emotions, our view of life and how we see the world are also captured in the image we record.

I am a member of the Photographic Society Of America (PSA) since 2016 and a member of one or more local photography clubs in my local area which is a member of the Wisconsin Area Camera Club Organization (WACCO)

The PSA is a great organization to help photographers improve there skills and a supportive community.
